Companies is proud to announce that we currently represent
Plastisol, the worlds leader in glass-fiber reinforced polyester
(GFR) bodies for rescue vehicles. The Netherlands-based family
business is now operating in the US, out of Cortlandt, NY.
We plan to employ the GFR bodies in our remounting operations.
In todays economy and rising fuel costs, a lighter weight
emergency vehicle can not only save money but can help expedite
rescues, as well. With over 30 years of experience Plastisol
manufactures superstructures to customer specifications, including
design, construction and production in their own production
facilities. Plastisol produces bodies made from GRP (Glass-fiber
Reinforced Polyester). This composition material is produced
by a vacuum injection process developed by Plastisol. The
glass fiber material, in combination with foam cores, is injected
with polymer resins for strength and durability. After curing,
this exceedingly strong sandwich of materials can be painted
to meet customer design specifications. Plastisol is world
market leader in the production of glass-fiber reinforced
polyester bodies for emergency service vehicles. With more
than 30 years of experience, Plastisol has built a strong
market share, supplying high-grade, customized superstructures.
Their extensive knowledge of todays specialized vehicles and
the breadth of manufacturing experience enable Plastisol to
custom design, engineer and produce GRP superstructures to
meet most users requirements. Plastisol specializes in modules
for the transport of sick and injured people. Flexible production
method enables us to supply self-supporting modules for application
on almost any type of chassis-cab. All interiors have a seamless
high-quality coating, allowing simple, effective and efficient
cleaning of the interior. The almost endless possibilities
of the composite material also find their ideal expression
in the so-called specialty vehicles that are requested from
Plastisol. For example, Plastisol recently supplied an almost
14 meter long market vehicle to Belgium and, during the summer
months, the ResCube, a multi-functional container used as
a first-aid station, can be found providing emergency services
to visitors along the Dutch seaside. |
